Skating Club ices championship events

YOUNGSTOWN

Members of the Skating Club of Greater Youngstown competed with 137 teams in the 15th annual ISI Synchronized Skating Championships in Bensonville, Ill., and brought home gold and silver awards.

The SCGY team Electric Edges-Sr. Youth Team performed in the Synchro Showcase show Saturday night with top level synchro teams of Chicago Jazz, six time Juvenile National Champions, and Synergy, two time winner in the Teen Skating category.

The SCGY final results were as follows:

Sophisticated Company-Adult Masters Formation Team, first in compulsories and first in their long program.

Electric Edges-Sr. Youth Formation Team, second in compulsories and first in their long program.

Electric Edges-Jr. Youth Formation Team, second in compulsories and second in their long program.
