Mr. and Mrs. Don Kalenits
YOUNGSTOWN
Mr. and Mrs. Don Kalenits of Youngstown are observing their 50th wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, their children have planned a family vacation to Waterscape in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., where the anniversary will be celebrated in June.
Hosts for the event will be Pam Smaldino of Austintown; Don and Lori Kalenits of Katy, Texas; Carrie and Seth Duckworth of Hilliard, Ohio; and Jennifer and Brian Henry of Howland.
The couple’s 11 grandchildren are Nicole and Christopher Smaldino; Anne, Maddie and Elizabeth Kalenits; Ally, Aimee and Ryan Duckworth; and Alyssa, Alex and Abbey Henry. A son-in-law, Tim Smaldino, is deceased.
The former JoAnn Maluso and Mr. Kalenits were united in marriage April 8, 1961, at St. Brendan Church.
Mrs. Kalenits retired from Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles, where she was a licensed practical nurse.
Mr. Kalenits was a carrier for the United States Postal Service in Youngstown and a maintenance supervisor prior to retiring.
