SENIOR CITIZENS | Meetings, activities announced

55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Hosts Bob and Willene Pickens will provide snacks. Members will dine out after the business meeting and card games.

1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brownstone Court. Cancellations must be made by Monday; call 330-755-5192. Birthdays and anniversaries will be honored, and cards and bingo will be played.

Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave., Liberty.

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure will be taken from noon until 12:45 p.m. The program will be a talk by Carol Robb, Columbiana County municipal court judge. Reservations can be made at the this meeting for the Dec. 8 trip to Erie, Pa., to see “Christmas Memories” at the Station Dinner Theater. Call 330-332-4791 for details. Freetimers, Youngstown State University Retirees, will have a monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will not meet Friday because that day is Lowellville Aqua Ohio Water Day. The next meeting will be the Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at Gianna’s Catering Hall. The cost is $15 per member. There are seats available for the bus trip to the Meadows, which will leave city hall at 8 a.m. Saturday and arrive back at 6 p.m. Tickets are $22. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Marilyn Boggs will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6, Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at noon Monday (note the time change) at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road. Refreshments will be served. Tickets will be on sale for the Dec. 6 Christmas party.

St. Charles Over-55 Club will meet at noon Nov. 9 in the social hall. Refreshments will be served followed by cards and board games. Birthdays and anniversaries will be recognized. Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retiree Club will have its luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. The program will be “The Antislavery Movement and Underground Railway,” presented by Sally Thomas. The Christmas party will take place beginning at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9 at Enzo’s Restaurant in Warren.
