Ursuline preschoolers eat muffins with mom

Instead of dropping children off like a normal school day, mothers were invited to stay on Monday to enjoy breakfast with them.
Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten hosted its third annual Muffins with Mom gathering where students introduced their parents to their friends. Mothers of the transitional kindergartners and 4-year-olds escorted their children to school and enjoyed muffins with them.
Kindergartners and 3-year-olds ate muffins with their moms Thursday. The groups were separated due to their large size. Orange juice and muffins were served on both days.
School principal Charlotte Italiano said socialization skills are important to kids during their early years. This event let the kids and parents socialize with one another.
“It’s just a time for mothers to be with their children in social situations and to get to know the other mothers and children,” Italiano said.
