Boardman Park hosts pumpkin carving contest

Pumpkins of all themes and sizes were on display in Boardman Park for its yearly carving contest.

The park hosted its annual Pumpkin Carve-Out from Oct. 15 through Oct. 17 at its Ex-Servicemen’s Pavilion. The family event has been taking place for more than 30 years.

Small, medium and large pumpkins were available for purchase and participants brought their own carving utensils.

Pumpkins were entered into a carving contest that included four divisions ranging from preschool to adult. Winners from each division was picked Sunday. Prizes awarded included gift cards and a bicycle.
