Rangers 2, Maple Leafs 1

TORONTO

Ruslan Fedotenko and Artem Anisimov scored first-period goals, and Martin Biron made 24 saves in his Rangers’ debut. Biron was strong in goal for the Rangers (2-2-1), who despite missing top forwards Marian Gaborik and Chris Drury, earned their first victory since opening night at Buffalo. Colby Armstrong scored for Toronto, who lost in regulation for the first time (4-1-1).

Ducks 3, Flyers 2

PHILADELPHIA

Ryan Getzlaf scored with 1:46 left in the third period for Anaheim. Flyers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky appeared to have covered the puck, but officials said it went over the line. The goal was confirmed by video replay. Lubomir Visnovsky and Jason Blake also scored for Anaheim, which had scored only three goals in four road games. Visnovsky made it 1-0 just 35 seconds into the game. Scott Hartnell tied it nearly three minutes later. Claude Giroux also scored for the Flyers.

Red Wings 4, Flames 2

DETROIT

Johan Franzen’s third-period goal broke a tie, and Henrik Zetterberg and Todd Bertuzzi both had a goal and an assist in Detroit’s win over Calgary.

Nicklas Lidstrom also scored for Detroit. Pavel Datsyuk had two assists, and Jimmy Howard made 34 saves. Mikael Backlund scored both of Calgary’s goals, and Curtis Glencross assisted on each. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 26 shots.

Devils 3, Canadiens 0

MONTREAL

Martin Brodeur made 29 saves for his 112th NHL shutout and Jason Arnott had a goal and an assist to lead New Jersey.

Islanders 3, Lightning 2, OT

TAMPA, Fla.

Matt Moulson scored a delayed, video-reviewed goal in overtime.

Stars 4, Panthers 1

SUNRISE, Fla.

Tom Wandell scored two goals to carry Dallas over Florida. Steve Ott and James Neal also scored for the Stars (5-1). Jamie Benn, back in the lineup after missing three games due to concussion-like symptoms, had three assists.
