Sale of dog licenses set to start in Lawrence Co.

Lawrence County dog licenses for 2011 are going on sale.

They are available beginning Wednesday at the Lawrence County Treasurer’s Office or by mail. License renewal applications have been sent out.

Fees are as follows:

Productive male or female, $8.45.

Neutered male or female, $6.45.

Senior discount, productive dog, $6.45.

Senior discount, neutered dog, $4.45.

Licenses also are available at Critter Corner, 1001 Wilmington Ave., New Castle; The Lawrence County Humane Society, Pearson Mill Road, New Castle; Pet Parlor, 4466 Mitchell Road, New Castle; and Sherry’s Pet Shop, 14 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.

The outside agents are permitted by law to charge an additional 50 cents above the listed costs, the county treasurer’s office said.
