Thanksgiving dinner came early for students at Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Good Hope Preschool and Childcare, on Homestead Drive, hosted an early Thanksgiving feast Monday for its students and family members. The food was made and donated by parents and the meal included several traditional Thanksgiving food dishes.

In preparation for the feast, students made a place mat, headdress and a turkey whose feathers listed aspects of their life they are thankful for. They also made their own butter from scratch, which they used during the feast.

The meal began at 10:30 a.m. and was used to honor the Thanksgiving holiday and to promote the importance of family bonding.
