List of free Thanksgiving meals from various organizations and churches as submitted to The Vindicator:
Mahoning county
Youngstown: Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., will serve a dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Volunteers are needed for the dinner, and donations of turkeys and pies also are needed.
Austintown: IT Certification Institute (old library building), 5650 Mahoning Ave., will serve Thanksgiving dinners at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. today. The reservation deadline ended Monday.
North Lima: Free community Thanksgiving Dinner at Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., served at 11 and 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. today. Dinner includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, rolls, butter, vegetable tray, pie and beverage. The reservation deadline ended Monday.
Columbiana county
Salem: A couple of local families, with plenty of help from the community, will once again serve a dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. The dinner features turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, vegetable, pie and beverage.
