Kids’ Crew to brighten the holidays

The Kids’ Crew of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley has planned two upcoming holiday events to benefit the hospital.
In cooperation with Eat’n Park and Wal-Mart, the Kids’ Crew will present “A Children’s Holiday” tree lighting and second anniversary celebration from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in Building C at the hospital’s Beeghly Campus, 6505 Market St.
The free public celebration will feature cocoa, cookies, carols and a visit from Santa. Children’s activities will include such things as face painting, crafts, and cookie and ornament decorating.
The public can participate by donating $10 to sponsor a light on the holiday tree in honor or in celebration of a special child. To make a donation, contact JoAnn Stock, the hospital’s director of development, at 330-746-9122.
The Kids’ Crew will also host a “Holiday Hopes and Wishes” luncheon Dec. 10 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave. The event will feature a social and shopping at 10 a.m., and the lunch will be served at 11:30.
