Butler Institute of American Art all decked out for the holidays

Preparations have been completed for the 40th annual American Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show and Sale to be presented at the Butler Institute of American Art.

The seasonal gala will begin with a preview party from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at The Butler, 524 Wick Ave., where the works of 100 artists and crafters in a variety of media will be on display.

The cost for the event is $30 for Butler members and $35 for nonmembers. There will be a cash bar and a gourmet buffet supper at Winslow’s Cafe. Parking is free.

Seating is limited, and reservations are preferred on or before Wednesday. For reservation information call 330-743-1107, ext. 210.

The public is invited to visit the public extravaganza between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 4 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5.

Admission is $5 for adults and children under 12 are free.

Proceeds from the event support Butler education programs and the Butler free admission policy.

To accommodate this special event, all permanent and special exhibits will close Nov. 30 and reopen Dec. 14.
