NILES—School Superintendent Rocco Adduci has submitted a letter of resignation “for retirement purposes” to the board of education. His resignation will be effective July 31, 2011.
Adduci, 61, has been superintendent for the last seven of his 18 years in the Niles school system. He previously served as assistant superintendent.
His resignation is to be formally submitted to the board at this evening’s regular meeting.
