KANSAS CITY, KAN.

Emilio Renteria scored on a header in the 64th minute to give the unbeaten Columbus Crew a 1-0 victory over the Kansas City Wizards on Sunday.

Renteria’s goal — his second in two games — was the first allowed by the Wizards off a corner kick this season.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto, making his return to the Crew (6-0-2) after serving a one-game suspension, got the assist.

With the win, Columbus continued its dominance against Kansas City (2-4-2). The Crew have won six of the last seven meetings with the Wizards, who haven’t beaten Columbus since Sept. 15, 2007.

Red Bulls 3, Juventus 1

HARRISON, N.J.

Jeremy Hall, Conor Chinn and Juan Pablo Angel scored second-half goals and the New York Red Bulls routed Juventus in a postseason exhibition game for the popular Italian league team.

Hall and Chinn scored in a five-minute span early in the half to snap a scoreless game, while Angel beat a defenseless Alex Manninger in the 75th minute after taking a great centering pass by Dane Richards.

Amauri came on as a second-half substitute for the Serie A club and scored in the 90th minute to the delight of the crowd of 18,735, many of whom wore the team’s vertical black and white colors.

Luigi Del Neri, who was hired as Juventus’ new coach last week, was not at the game. Interim coach Alberto Zaccheroni was in charge.
