Powers and duties

Some of the responsibilities of the county administrator as set by state law. The administrator serves under the direction of a county’s board of commissioners.

Supervise and direct the activities of the affairs of county government divisions under the jurisdiction of the commissioners.

Perform any or all personnel functions incumbent upon the commissioners.

Keep the board of commissioners fully advised on the county’s financial conditions, and prepare and submit a budget for the next fiscal year.

Assist in the administration, enforcement and execution of the commissioners’ policies and resolutions.
