Poland Seminary High School may have been at prom, but the middle schoolers had some fun of their own.

Poland Middle School’s Junior Leadership sponsored its annual spring dance May 7. The organization raises money for various community charities and has recently donated to the Salvation Army.

Junior Leadership was initiated not only to raise money, but to serve as role models for other students by setting the example. They focus on team building, community service and academic achievement.

Each year, two dances are sponsored by Junior Leadership — one for Christmas and the other in the spring. The dances are intended only for seventh and eighth-graders.
