City firefighter slightly injured at South Side blaze


YOUNGSTOWN — A city firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a house fire early today at 210 Clarencedale Ave.

Injured, but not requiring hospitalization, was Firefighter Lisa Santiago. The occupant of the South Side house, Raul Magallon, escaped without injury. Two large dogs were found dead on the second floor, however, according to reports.

The fire, which caused an estimated $15,000 damage to the structure and $3,000 to its contents, started on the porch. The cause is under investigation. The house is owned by AFP Enterprises of Youngstown.
