Tony Koch tossed a three-hitter and struck out 10 batters as Livi Steel defeated Youngstown Express, 3-0, in Friday’s Class B action at Cene Park.
Pete Garthwrite and Jay Williams had doubles for Livi while Alex Cuckovich had an RBI single.
Roth Brothers 9, Wharmby Sports 2
STRUTHERS
Winning pitcher Sean Kuhn allowed two runs on six hits. He walked six and struck out five.
Jake Haubric had two hits and two RBIs, and scored a run while Nick Kolat had a two-run triple and scored two runs for Roth.
For Wharmby, Josh Saverko drove in both runs while Anthony Paris and David Saluga each added a pair of hits.
Rondinelli 10, OTN 8
STRUTHERS
Hits by Kyle Vaclav and Zack Stein triggered a five-run first inning for Rondinelli. Stein also doubled while Vaclav tripled.
For OTN, Kevin Boris doubled in a six-run third inning that had 12 men at the plate..
Class AA Roth Brothers 4, Ohio Glaciers 3
YOUNGSTOWN
C.J. Morris tripled and scored while Ray Jaminet doubled and scored to lead Roth Brothers at the plate. Also singling and scoring were Dave Scheffer and Ryan Satterly. Josh Tedesco scattered five hits to earn the victory.
For Ohio Glaciers, Dave Leon’s two hits included a triple as he scored twice.
