A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

June 14

Harassment: A woman who is employed at Star Extruded Shapes, 7055 Herbert Road, told police she received a letter from a former employee who now resides in Columbus professing his love for her. She asked that he be advised to cease all communications with her.

June 14

Drugs: Police arrested Sheri L. Donchess, 38, 8020 Cayman Court, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, drug-abuse instruments and drug abuse after she was found asleep in her vehicle in the parking lot at First Place Bank, 352 W. Main St. She was found with morphine and labetalol hydrochloride, a beta blocker that can stop the heart.

June 16

Theft: A U.S. flag was reported stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Timber Run Drive.

Passing bad check: A city employee made a formal complaint to police about a bad check the city had received.

Warrant and drugs: Police arrested Michael Woodring, 25, 4342 Hewitt-Gifford Road, Lordstown, on a Lordstown warrant and for drug abuse, after police several alprazolam pills in a cigarette pack belonging to him.

Drug abuse: Police arrested John Carrion, 31, 524 W. Sixth St., Salem on charges of drug abuse, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a container with a marijuana cigarette in it, a bag with marijuana seeds and rolling papers.

AUSTINTOWN

June 14

Theft: A purse containing cash and credit cards was stolen at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Attempted burglary: A window screen was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road.

Fraud: A credit/debit card was accessed at a home in the 1000 block of Woodland Trace.

Theft: A 14-year-old male juvenile was arrested in a theft at Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road and was handed over to his father.

Attempted auto theft: The steering column on an auto was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Theft: Two plants were taken from the front porch of a home in the 3000 block of Briarwood Lane.

June 15

Theft: A Nikon camera was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Road.

Theft: A dealer plate was stolen from an auto at Alpine Motors, 220 S. Meridian Road.

Recovered property: A nylon case with compact disc was recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive.

June 16

Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Washington Square Drive.

Theft: A debit card was stolen and used at several locations.

Warrant: Staci Lacivita, 25, 94 Barcelona Drive, Niles, was arrested on a warrant charging criminal damaging.

Burglary: A house was entered twice, but nothing was taken in the 1000 block of Woodgate Lane.

Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were scratched at homes in the 200 block of N. Edgehill Avenue.

June 17

Drug offense: Police arrested Shane Cole, 19, 707 Purdue Ave., on a charge of drug abuse of marijuana in the 4000 block of Evelyn Road.

Theft: A GPS was taken from a vehicle at a home in the 3000 block of Orchard Hill Drive.

Disorderly conduct: Zachary Kosa, 2343 S. Bailey Road, North Jackson, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Burglary: A house in the 4000 block of Cannon Road was broken into, but nothing was taken.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle tire was cut at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Burglary: A television, guitars and a computer were taken at a home in the 200 block of S. Main Street.

Aggravated menacing: A woman was threatened by her niece at a home in the 300 block of Allendale Ave.

Theft: Numerous items were taken from an auto at a home in the 3000 block of Johnson Farm Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Tiffany Bachhofer, 25, 4046 Lanterman Road, on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs.

Theft: Ear buds were stolen and returned for a gift card at Walmart. 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Davis Hill II, 27, 2295 Bazetta Road, Cortland, on a warrant charging forgery.

June 18

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted text messages were being received at work by a female victim.

Burglary: Several items were taken from a home in the 200 block of S. Edgehill

Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 6000 block of Timberidge Ave.

Harassment: A man is a suspect in harassment at a home in the 30 block of N. Turner Road.

Recovered property: A bank deposit with checks were recovered in the 6000 block of Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A debit card was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Parkgate Ave.

Domestic violence: Police arrested a teenage male on two counts of domestic violence at a home in the 5000 block of W. Rockwell Road.

June 19

Disorderly conduct: Daniel Hammond, 20, 3420 Allendale Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Criminal damaging: A driver’s-side window was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Drug offense: Gregory Dominic, 21, 3910 Edwards St., Mineral Ridge was issued a summons on possession of marijuana at state Route 46 and Clarkins Drive.

Auto theft: A 1994 Chevrolet S-10 was stolen from a home in the 40 block of Parkgate Ave.

Lost or stolen property: A black, leather wallet with $295 in cash was stolen at the BP gas station, 3107 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Attempted theft: A vehicle window was shattered at a home in the 70 block of S. Yorkshire Boulevard.

Recovered property: A Mahoning National Bank bag was recovered at a home in the 30 block of S. Beverly Avenue.

Theft: A wallet with credit cards was stolen from an auto at a home in the 40 block of S. Yorkshire Boulevard.

Theft: Change was stolen from an auto at a home in the 60 block of S. Yorkshire Boulevard.

Theft: The window of a vehicle was shattered, and keys, two calculators, a tube of lipstick and colored pencils were taken at a home in the 100 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Theft: A car window was shattered, and $60 in cash and six CDs were stolen from the vehicle in the 2000 block of S. Roanoke Ave.

Theft: A U.S. Bank ATM card was stolen from an auto at a home in the 2000 block of S. Edgehill Ave.

Criminal damaging: A window was shattered at a home in the 200 block of S., Edgehill Ave.

Theft: A Mahoning County sheriff’s badge with a case was stolen from an auto at a home in the 50 block of S. Yorkshire Boulevard.

Warrant: Gary McClehan, 28, 3850 Oakview Ave.,Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of larceny.

Burglary: $2,000 was reportedly stolen from under a mattress at an apartment in the 60 block of Westminister Ave.

Theft: $220 was reported stolen from an auto at a home in the 3000 block of Dunbar Street.

Theft: A purse and its contents were stolen from an auto which had the window shattered at a home in the 100 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Theft: An HP laptop was stolen from an auto at a home in the 3000 block of Dunbar Street.

Theft: A battery depth-finder was stolen at a home in the 600 block of Duke Circle.

June 20

Drug offense: Patrick Doughty, 23, 101 E. Wilson St., Girard, was issued a summons alleging possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Club 76, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Disorderly conduct: Melissa Parish, 31, 4491 Viall Road, Austintown, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to desist in the parking lot at Club Gossip,1738 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal trespassing: John W. Sherer, 39, 8904 Kohou St., Apt. 307, Honolulu, Hawaii, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing at St. Elizabeth Health Center, 6252 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $4.84 in gasoline was stolen at Uni-Mart, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Anthony Schaffer, 23, 4405 Plumbrook Drive, Canfield, was arrested on two felony warrants, alleging theft and breaking and entering.

Obstructing official business: Police arrested Nicole Schaffer, 18, 4405 Plumbrook Drive, on a charge of obstructing official business.

Breaking and entering: A minibike was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Oakleigh Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A female threw an object at a car window in the 80 block of Rosemont Ave.

Theft: James Hannis, 22, 2268 Penny Lane, was issued a summons in the theft of two packs of gum at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
