A 16-year-old girl was arrested on allegations of breaking and entering into Eastwood Mall about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The teenager is accused of breaking a window outside the J.C. Penney door to the parking lot, a window on the inside of the mall entrance to J.C. Penney and a third window at Victoria’s Secret, said Ken Kollar, general manager of the mall complex.

“I’m very upset this even occurred, but if it had to happen, I’m extremely pleased that our system worked,” Kollar said.

The mall had security guards stationed inside the building, and alarms were activated when the windows were broken, he said.
