A suspect in the February 2009 robbery of the First National Bank on Robinson Road was in the city jail awaiting a preliminary hearing set for today.

Kenneth Hubbard, 30, of Mumford Drive, Youngstown, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday by the Mahoning County Violent Crimes Task Force, said Campbell Police Sgt. John Rusnak. He was not sure where the arrest took place. No one was available at the task-force office.

Rusnak said that the state Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation identified Hubbard through DNA found on a plastic bag recovered from the robbery scene. He said the BCI returned its finding to Campbell on Monday.

Rusnak said that when Hubbard was interviewed and presented with the DNA evidence, he confessed the crime.
