THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s meal will feature five-spice beef and Shanghai chicken. The cost is $5. No reservations are necessary.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will have a breakfast buffet from 7-10 a.m. The all-you-can eat breakfast or brunch is available for a donation. Items will include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. SUNDAY

Girard Eagles Auxiliary 2172 will sponsor a pasta dinner to benefit the auxiliary president, Dianna Frye, who has cancer. Dinners will be served from noon to 5 p.m. at the Eagles Hall, 26 Wilson Ave., Girard. Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for children 4-10. Dinners will include two meatballs, salad, bread, butter, coffee and cake. Carryouts are welcome; call 330-545-6619. Also featured will be basket raffles, 50/50, and a bake sale. Tickets may be purchased at the club, from some members or at the door the day of the dinner. All proceeds will go to Frye to help with her medical bills and other expenses.

Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Vincent Methodist Church on Walnut Street in Jackson Center, Pa., will serve dinners of braised steak, potato, vegetable, coleslaw, dessert and beverage beginning at noon. Meals are $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Road, Champion, Ohio, will have a rotisserie chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Aug. 11. Meals include four sides, rolls and desserts. The cost for adults is $7. Meals with chicken tenders for children 4 through 10 are $4. Those 3 and under eat free. Carryouts available. For more information call 330-847-7072.

Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 at 534, Southington, will serve chicken dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Aug. 4. The menu includes a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. The cost is $7.50 for adults. Meals with chicken tenders for children 4 through 10 are $4, and those 3 and under eat free. Carryouts available. Call 330-898-2156 and a meal will be ready for pickup.
