June 27

Drugs: Police arrested Johnathan Kane, 20, of 2261 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Craig Stout, 21, 966 S. Lundy Ave., Salem, on a charge of drug abuse after a traffic stop at state Route 446 and Lisbon Street. Both were in possession of suspected marijuana.

June 28

Deception: Police issued an arrest warrant for Angela Spoon, 29, of 366 W. Maryland Ave., Sebring, on three counts of deception to obtain dangerous drugs after visiting multiple doctors and obtaining prescriptions for controlled substances from them. Spoon is accused of obtaining 108 prescriptions for controlled substances or dangerous drugs from 52 different physicians and using 31 different pharmacies to fill the prescriptions.

Warrant: Police arrested Marcus Teague, 21, of 571 Almyra Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear for a court hearing. He was arrested at East Main Street and the Colonial Plaza.

Drug abuse: Police charged James McGarry Sr., no age listed, 67 Lisbon St., with drug abuse after police found a suspected marijuana cigarette in his ash tray after a traffic stop.

July 5

Drug abuse: Police charged Joshua Hott, 22, of 1169 W. Perry, Salem, and Derrick Faulkner, 26, of 610 E. 4th St., Salem, for drug possession. They both had several pills in their possession without prescriptions. The arrest was at West Main Street and Palmyra Road.

Warrants: Police arrested Latoya Griffin, 26, of Pasadena Avenue, Youngstown, on warrants for failure to appear and assault.

July 6

Warrant: Police arrested Jeremiah Kennedy, 28, 31650 Tower Road, Salem on a warrant out of Carroll County.

July 7

Drug abuse: John Hubler, 19, 516 Fritch Blvd., Akron, was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse at W. Main Street and Edwards Avenue after police found a pipe with marijuana residue and 1 gram of suspected marijuana.

Illegal processing of drug documents: Police arrested Raymond Gutierrez, 43, 8778 N. Palmyra Road at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. on a charge of illegal processing of a drug document after a Giant Eagle pharmacist reported receiving a prescription for Vicodin that had been altered.

Warrant: Police arrested Thomas Pittman, 36, 58 Valencia Ave., Niles, under a suspended license and a warrant for failure to pay child support.
