THURSDAY

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s meal will feature Shanghai chicken or pork chop. The cost is $5. To order in advance call 330-799-8133 on Thursday.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will sell 12-inch Briar Hill-style pizzas for $8 each every Friday. Orders will be accepted before 5 p.m. Friday, and pickup will be from 3 to 6 p.m. For more information or to place an order, call 330-538-3351.

SUNDAY

Circle of Serbian Sisters of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 11:30 a.m. until sold out Sunday in conjunction with the Serbian Day Picnic. Dinners will be served in the Serbian Memorial Hall. The menu will include dumplings, salad, dessert and coffee. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Girard Eagles Auxiliary 2172 will sponsor a pasta dinner Aug. 1 to benefit the auxiliary president, Dianne Frye, who has cancer. Dinners will be served from noon to 5 p.m. at the Eagles Hall, 26 Wilson Ave., Girard. Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 10. Dinners will include two meatballs, salad, bread, butter, coffee and cake. Carryouts are welcome; call 330-545-6619. Also featured will be basket raffles, 50-50 drawing and a bake sale. Tickets may be purchased at the club, from some members or at the door the day of the dinner. All proceeds will go to Frye to help with her medical bills and other expenses.
