A summary of recent criminal activity in Liberty Township:

Jan. 22

Theft: The Ohio State Highway Patrol held 20-year-old Louis Justice III, who listed addresses on Garland Avenue and Cleveland Street, Youngstown, and was wanted on a township warrant.

Jan. 25

Theft: A charge was pending against a Youngstown woman, 21, after two compact discs, three Sony PlayStation 2 games and five Xbox 360 games were stolen from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road.

Jan. 26

Theft: A $300 portable global-positioning- system unit was missing from a vehicle in the 5700 block of Logan Arms Drive.

Jan. 27

Theft: A Logan Way woman reported a $300 leather jacket stolen from her car.

Bad check: Liberty police arrested and booked Falice A. Owens, 37, of 1150 Trails Edge Drive, Hubbard, who was wanted by Beaver Township authorities on a charge of passing a bad check.

Theft: A 30-year-old Mineral Ridge woman was detained, though had not been charged, after a pair of infants shoes and a children’s cap were stolen from Wal-Mart.

Jan. 28

Identity fraud: An Oakland Avenue man found out his Social Security number had been used without consent to obtain a cell-phone account, with an accumulated bill of $323.61.

Drugs: Jacob K. Kelly, 25, of 125 Bennett Drive, Vienna, was cited during a traffic stop on state Route 193 when, police said, a bag containing 5 grams of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found.

Theft: An East Liberty Street woman discovered $165 had been removed from her debit account.

Theft: A metal toolbox and a metal grating were stolen from a yard in the 1700 block of Wilson Avenue.

Drug paraphernalia: Valerie A. Dieter, 31, of 1217 Florencedale Ave., Youngstown, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under four license suspensions and was released on a personal recognizance bond after police said suspected drug-abuse instruments and paraphernalia were in her purse.

Theft: A woman stole merchandise, then left Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave., though it was undetermined what had been taken.

Misuse of a credit card: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman checked her credit-card statement and noticed a $665 unauthorized charge from a New Jersey store.

Criminal damaging: Someone placed a hole and caused $250 worth of damage to a wall in a Liberty Street motel room.

Jan. 29

Arrest: Officers pulled over a car near Interstate 80, where they charged 26-year-old Joseph Jakubec, 2728 North Road, Warren, with driving under suspension and arrested him on a warrant from Warren.

Theft: Brad A. Ruozzo, 25, of 509 E. Jackson St., Lowellville, and 28-year-old Michael D. Norberg, 547 Fourth St., Struthers, were charged with theft and complicity to theft, respectively, after a dual car stereo/DVD player was stolen from Wal-Mart.

Arrest: Authorities took into custody 47-year-old Tammy M. Greene, 469 Idora Ave., Youngstown, after stopping her vehicle in the 3500 block of Belmont Avenue. Greene was wanted on a probation-violation count.

Theft: A Hadley Avenue woman reported the theft of a bottle of prescription pills from her home.
