18-year-old charged with murder in killing at St. Dom’s

YOUNGSTOWN – City police have charged Jamar “Mook” Houser, 18, with the Jan. 23 killing of Angeline Fimognari, 80, in the parking lot of St. Dominic Church on East Lucius Avenue.

Houser was picked up by police just before 8 p.m. Friday at Market Street and Philadelphia Avenue and charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

He is in the Mahoning County jail awaiting arraignment.

Police said robbery was the apparent motive in the slaying as Fimognari’s purse was taken. She was shot in the head, police said.
