Dairy farmer newest member of Columbiana elections board

LISBON — Columbiana County Republicans have named James Beardsley of Damascus, a dairy farmer, to the county board of elections. He defeated three other nominees to win the seat.

The Republican central committee elected Beardsley as one of its two representatives on the four-member board.

He replaces Jerry Wolford, who did not run for another term. County Republican Party Chairman David Johnson is the other GOP representative on the elections board. The county Democrats renamed Larry Bowersock to the board. Patty Colian is the other Democrat.
