Volunteers needed next week to make calls for MS

YOUNGSTOWN — HandsOn Volunteer Network of the Valley, a United Way Agency and the local resource for volunteer recruitment, placement, and management for people of all ages and abilities in the Mahoning Valley, is looking for volunteers next week for the Walk Multiple Sclerosis Phone-A-Thon.

During this week, volunteers will be asked to make telephone calls to past walkers as a reminder for them to register for Walk MS 2010.

HandsON will not be asking for any type of donation during the phone calls. Volunteers may make phone calls from the convenience of their own home, but they will not be reimbursed for any long-distance charges that may be incurred.
