Grand jury doesn’t indict in shooting case

STAFF REPORT

WARREN — A Trumbull County grand jury chose not to indict a 23-year-old city woman for shooting a man she knows in the chest in November, but she was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail for violating probation.

Asia Bradley of 970 Tod Avenue N.W. was charged in Warren Municipal Court with felonious assault in the shooting of Delshawn L. Dansler, 25, of Ridge Road Southeast, Nov. 24 at Bradley’s apartment.

A grand jury later refused to indict her on the charge, however.

But having a gun in her apartment was a violation of the five years of probation she was placed on in January 2005 for committing a robbery, Judge Andrew Logan of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court ruled.

Bradley received her sentence Tuesday. She will receive credit for the time she has served in the county jail since her arrest in late November.
