Senior center names volunteer of the year

YOUNGSTOWN — Congratulations to the Mahoning County Senior Center Volunteer of the Year, Angie Waschak. She bought chocolate, nuts, cherries and all candy-making supplies and made all the candies sold at Christmastime.

As a result she donated $400 to the Senior Center.

Waschak has become a real asset by answering the phone one day a week and volunteering with the AARP tax preparers in February, March and April. Tax preparation is free for senior citizens (by appointment only).
