Dave Herron Sr., pastor of Monument of Faith Church of God in Christ; Dave Green, president of UAW Local 1714; Felix Wright, former Cleveland Browns strong safety; John Landers, Boardman school board member; Matt Spatz, a WNCD-93.3 FM air personality; Nick Graham, Warren city prosecutor; Ralph Morrone, YSU facilities engineer; Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray; and U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th.

Dave Betras as honorary team owner, the following were the players on the team coached by Jeff Pegg, president of the Northeast Ohio Educators Association: Adam Tokash of Covidien Sports Medicine; Brian Laraway, vice president of Bury Financial Group; Jack Pico, partner in Betras, Maruca, Kopp and Harshman; Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams; state Sen. Joe Schiavoni of Canfield, D-33rd; Joe Aulisio, associate sports director of WKBN-TV and WYTV; John Reardon, state superintendent of financial institutions; U.S. Rep. John Boccieri of Alliance, D-16th; Marquis Brown of the YSU student housing department; and Matt Morrone, YSU athletic business manager.

Bob Hannon, chief executive officer of the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, called the play by play, with Kate O’Donovan of Youngstown Television adding color commentary.

Newly hired YSU head football coach Eric Wolford tossed the ceremonial jump ball.

YSU provided Beeghly Center rent-free for the event under the auspices of the university’s Phi Kappa Tau fraternity chapter, which co-sponsored the event.

Spectators paid a $6 admission fee, which was reduced to $3 for YSU students.
