Students look for wildlife tracks
The second grade class of Mrs. Stoll looked for animal tracks in the snow Jan. 14 in the outdoor classroom at Poland Union Elementary.
The classroom was created in the woods behind the school with grants and offers students benches and cameras to monitor wildlife in the area. Students work to help maintain it as a habitat for wildlife.
The outdoor space was dedicated as a wildlife site by the Ohio State Department of Wildlife last year and can be used by all grade teachers in the school as a way to extend curriculum to include real-life experiences.
