Youngstown celebrates Cardinal Mooney, Ursuline football championships

YOUNGSTOWN — The city will celebrate the football championships of Cardinal Mooney and Ursuline high schools at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Covelli Centre downtown.

The public celebration will be shared with the community, and the football teams, coaching staffs and cheerleaders will attend. Mayor Jay Williams and city council members will present them with resolutions and proclamations.

Joe McCormick with the Austintown Memorial Post 301 will present the colors, and Leslie Kitchen, wife of Councilman DeMaine Kitchen, D-2nd, will sing "God Bless America."
