Jitney driver dead, passenger hurt in Pa. shooting


PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police have been searching for two gunmen who jumped out of a minivan and fatally shot a jitney driver and wounded his passenger.

Investigators say the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the city’s Fineview neighborhood.

Police say the 50-year-old driver, from McKees Rocks, was shot in the chest and died. The passenger was shot in both arms and one hand and was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital where he remained in stable condition.

Police have not released the victim’s names or said why they think the victims were targeted.

No arrests have been made.
