Area Agency on Aging 11 offers focus groups in four counties

NILES — Area Agency on Aging 11, in partnership with Youngstown State University, is offering focus groups in Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties as part of its strategic-area-plan process as required by the Older Americans Act.

The first focus group, in Columbiana County, is 10 a.m. to noon Thursday for providers and 2 to 4 p.m. for seniors at Columbiana Community Action Agency, 7880 Lincole Place, Lisbon.

Focus groups will be run by YSU’s Center for Human Services Development, said Lisa Solley, agency spokeswoman.

The other focus groups are:

UMahoning County: providers, 10 a.m. to noon, and seniors, 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 27, Boardman Park Community Room.

UTrumbull County: providers, 10 a.m. to noon, and seniors, 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 2, Area Agency office, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Suite 2685, Niles.

UAshtabula County: providers, 10 a.m. to noon, and seniors, 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 4, Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce.

ULabor groups: 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 9, and Area Agency staff, 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 9, both at agency offices.
