Kara Mike and Vincent Ludovici Jr.

YOUNGSTOWN — Kara Josephine Mike, daughter of Joseph and Lynn Mike of Poland, and Vincent Edward Ludovici Jr., son of Vincent and Rita Ludovici of New Castle, Pa., were married on Oct. 9 at St. Maron Parish.

Monsignor Anthony Spinosa officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, and the newlyweds were honored during a reception at Mr. Anthony’s at the Maronite Center. The couple honeymooned on the Dutch side of St. Maarten and live in New Castle.

The bride’s strapless A-line gown featured lace embellishments and a sweetheart neckline. She wore her great-grandmother’s bracelet.

Monica Mike, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Dina Ludovici, Kristen Mike, Bobbilyn Pia, Theresa D’Angelo, Holly Phillips and Marci McBride wore plum-colored gowns. Flower girl was Olivia Mike.

Nick Ludovici performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Joseph Mike III, Joseph Simko, Brian Fabich, Michael Carney, John George, Kevin Finnamore and Joseph Mastropietro. Ring bearer was D.J. DeBlasio.

The bride graduated from Casal Aveda Institute with a degree in esthiology and is an esthetician with Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pa.

The groom is an analyst with Liberty Mutual in New Castle. He graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and minor in finance.
