Here comes the snow, not to mention the cold


YOUNGSTOWN — The National Weather Service forecast calls for 5 to 10 inches of snow to fall on the Mahoning Valley starting about 1 p.m. through Friday.

The Valley will be under a winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Friday.

Snow is supposed to start falling at 1 p.m. today with an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. The weather service says an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible tonight.

Also, snow showers are likely Friday with an additional 3 to 5 inches possible, according to the weather service forecast.

The weather service forecast states snow showers are likely for Friday night with a low around 11 degrees, and a wind chill as low as 2 below zero.
