“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21; rebroadcast at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The celebration of Black History Month continues with one of the few living members of the Negro Baseball League, Ted “Lefty” Toles, who will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard. Surrounded by greats such as Satchell Paige, Josh Gibson, Larry Doby and Jackie Robinson, Toles tells how discrimination prevented him from pursuing the major leagues.

Next, Jennifer Miller of the McGuffey Centre will discuss the annual Salute to Black Educators Luncheon, sponsored by the Youngstown Area Alliance of Black School Educators.
