WASHINGTON, Pa.

A western Pennsylvania man accused of having stabbed his wife to death is out of the hospital and being held in the Washington County jail without bond.

The (Washington) Observer-Reporter says 56-year-old Richard Dunkovich of Cecil was arraigned on a charge of criminal homicide after his Christmas release from Allegheny General Hospital.

Authorities say he was being treated for abdominal wounds suffered Dec. 9 at the residence of his 40-year-old wife, Brenda. Local police said they found the two in a second-floor bedroom after breaking down the door in response to an 11:50 p.m. 911 call placed by the woman, who was pronounced dead a short time later of a stab wound.
