Struthers 51, Hubbard 21

STRUTHERS

Katelyn Ardale had 13 points for Struthers, which took an 18-3 lead after one quarter en route to the AAC White Tier win. Hannah Dubec had 15 rebounds and Amanda Ditman 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (5-2). Courtney Sargent’s 10 points paced Hubbard (3-4).

Poland 47, Niles 24

NILES

The Bulldogs (6-2, All-American Conference, Red Tier) held the Red Dragons (1-6, 0-1) to single-digit points in each quarter and forced 27 turnovers. Adriana Sikora led all scorers with nine points, and Abby Brenoel had four steals. Poland brought down 31 rebounds compared to the 25 for Niles.

Beaver Local 48, Lakeview 44

LISBON

Tennelle Hoppel scored 18 points with six assists and four steals to lead three Beavers in double figures and Beaver Local got a big play from a freshman to hold on for the come-from-behind victory. Freshman Danna Talbot made a steal and hit one of two free throws to give the Beavers (1-4) a four-point lead with seven seconds left. Kenzie Weber had 12 points, six assists and four steals and Allie Bangor had 10 for BL, which led 11-0 after one quarter but went scoreless in the third to fall behind 30-27. For Lakeview (3-4), Ali Gangne scored 22 points.

Lowellville 63, Brookfield 31

LOWELLVILLE

Taylor Hvisdak was a perfect 5 of 5 from the free-throw line and finished with a game-high 14 points in the win. The Rockets (7-0) also got 11 points out of Kaye Solak and Maddie Opritza, who sank three shots from long range. Leading the Warriors (2-6) was Danielle Dicristofarn with 10.

Pymatuning Valley 57, LaBrae 51

LEAVITTSBURG

Pymatuning Valley’s height was a factor as the Lakers found lanes for layups and made 48 percent of its goals. LaBrae fell behind 18-11 after one quarter, then pulled within 43-40 at the end of the third quarter. Brooke Monnolly had 12 points to lead Pymatuning Valley. For LaBrae (3-3), senior forward Courtney Aldridge had 18 points, senior guard Julie Gibson had 14 and sophomore forward Ashlee Stubbs had 11 points.

Champion 40, Girard 32

CHAMPION

Sophomore MacKenzie Kiser had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Flashes (4-2, 1-0). Hailey Spalla’s nine points paced the Indians (2-4, 0-1).

Newton Falls 70, Campbell 27

NEWTON FALLS

Angela Giuliano and Destiny Prusky each had 14 points for the Tigers (5-1, 1-0 All-American Conference Blue Tier) while Jenn Bjelac had nine. Tiera Graves had 12 points for the or the Red Devils (0-5, 0-1) who scored 10 points in the final quarter.

Boys

Brookfield 57, Badger 53

BADGER

John Moy had a game-high 19 points for Badger, but Brookfield had three players score in the double figures for the win. Preston Sirochman led the team with 16, while Jeremy Quinlan had 14 and Colin Karkulich had 10.

Ironton 57, Campbell 40

IRONTON

Dwaylon Letlo had 16 points and six rebounds for Campbell (5-3) on Wednesday. Trey Fletcher had 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Ironton (5-1).
