Neighbors | Shaiyla Hakeem .More than 25 kindergartners and fourth-graders from Hitchcock Woods School, in Boardman, sang holiday songs for attendees of Akron Children's Hospital's second anniversary celebration Dec. 8. The kids had been practicing for the event since October.

Hitchcock Woods School helped celebrate Akron Children’s Hospital second annual “Hopes and Wishes Program” Dec. 8.

Miss Mary Ann’s kindergarten and pre-kindergarten class along with Miss Linda, Miss Shar and Miss Pattie’s 4-year-olds went caroling at the Akron Children’s “Hopes and Wishes” luncheon.

The girls, dressed in red caroling capes and bonnets, along with the boys in their black top hats and green and red scarfs, sang to show how much they appreciate having Akron Children’s Hospital in the Valley.

“Our families are so thankful to be able to take advantage of having such a wonderful facility right here in our back yard,” said Welsh, owner and director of Hitchcock Woods School. “What a blessing for our community.”
