Professionals sought

Rotarians of District 6650 in northeast Ohio are seeking four outstanding professionals ages 25 to 40 to visit the Philippines from mid-March through mid-April 2011 as part of the Group Study Exchange program sponsored by the Rotary Foundation.

Chili cook-off is good for hearts

A chili cook-off will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 9 at Beeghly Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, 6505 Market St. The fundraiser is planned as a benefit for the American Heart Association.
For a $5 donation, patrons can taste and judge samples of chili prepared by the cooks. Each will also receive a bowl of a favorite chili with a choice of toppings. Other refreshments will be availabe and tickets will be sold for a Chinese auction.
