Adam John Foutz of Girard and Sarah Janelle Kocher of Liberty were united in marriage on May 15 at Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church. The Rev. John Weisman officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

The daughter of John and Cindy Kocher of Liberty and the son of Carol Foutz of Girard accepted congratulations that evening during a reception at McMenamy’s Banquet Center.

The honor attendant was Lindsay Burton, and bridesmaids were Rachel Martin, Andrea Colella, Jenny Alig, Alexandria Sawyer, Ying Yeung, Melissa Morris and Amanda Kinsley. Flower girls were Harmony DeFrank and Alyssa Dillion, nieces of the groom. Also participating was Lauren Kocher, a cousin of the bride.

The groom’s brother, Anthony Foutz, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Aaron Foutz, another brother of the groom, and Matt O’Brien, Shawn Martin, Jonah Mackey, Evan Dechant, Steve Bada and Kevin Forsythe. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, John and Eric Kocher, and ring bearers were Antonio and Armando DeFrank, the groom’s nephews.

The bride graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University.

The groom is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and is stationed at the recruiting station in Nashville.

After a honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains, the couple live in Hendersonville, Tenn.
