Loud music leads to altercation, police shooting


A motorist’s violent response to a request by police to turn down a loud car stereo has landed him in the hospital with gunshot wounds and injured a city police officer.

Cory R. Timmings, no age or address given on the police report of the incident, was rushed to St. Elizabeth Health Center at 2:36 a.m. Friday after he was apparently shot by a Youngstown Police Officer in the parking lot of a bar in the 900 block of Midlothian. Timmings.
