CINCINNATI (AP) — From Metropolis to Porkopolis?

The upcoming issue of DC Comics’ Superman will depict the Man of Steel in Cincinnati as part of a national walking tour that’s already taken him to Philadelphia and Detroit.

The current “Grounded” series of stories shows Superman reconnecting with everyday Americans. The DC Comics blog notes that Cincinnati is home of baseball’s Reds, football’s Bengals, and one of the nation’s largest historic districts.

The city was known in the 19th century for its hog-packing businesses.

Geoff Hoffman is owner of two Queen City Comics stores in the Cincinnati area. He expects to sell hundreds of copies of issue No. 703 when it comes out in mid-September. He usually sells about three dozen each month.
