Poland’s annual Blue Bell Festival will begin today at 1:30 p.m. at the College Street entrance to Poland Woods.

A naturalist from Mill Creek Metro Park will guide a walk through the woods, concentrating on the blue bells and other unique aspects of the historic area.

Streetscapes will provide refreshments at the completion of the festival walk.

This year’s festival will showcase a painting by Tom Antonishak, a local artist of national renown and reputation.

The painting is oil on linen and is titled “Blue Bells of Poland Woods.” A limited edition of 150 prints of the painting have been produced.

A print will be raffled off, with ticket sales starting during the Blue Bell Festival.

Tickets cost is $5 per person or $20 for five tickets. Tickets will go on sale before and after the walk, and will continue to be available until the raffle, which will be held during Celebrate Poland weekend June 26-27.
