Center offers “Walk for Life”

Pregnancy Help Center of Youngstown is asking the community to “Walk for Life” May 8 starting at 9 a.m. at Boardman Park.

For more than 22 years, the center has welcomed and assisted women of the Mahoning Valley who faced unplanned pregnancies. Pregnancy Help Center offers free and confidential pregnancy testing and free ultrasound.

The “Walk for Life” is an annual fundraising event that has grown from 98 walkers in 1996 to more than 400 in 2009.

Walkers of all ages can download and complete sponsor pledge forms by visiting www.supportcarenet.com.

Registration for the two-mile walk through Boardman Park begins at 8 a.m May 8 in the Thomas C. Masters Pavilion.

Participants are asked to bring all completed pledge forms to the registration.

Funds raised through the “Walk for Life” will allow the center to continue offering free medical services to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
