Paper: Ohio man with gun critical of President Obama online

Thursday, April 29, 2010

COSHOCTON, Ohio (AP) — A Ohio newspaper reports that a man arrested at a North Carolina airport who authorities say was armed and wanted to see President Barack Obama had questioned Obama's citizenship on Facebook.

The Coshocton Tribune also reported today that postings purportedly made last year by 23-year-old Joseph Sean McVey refer to Obama by his middle name, "Hussein."

The paper says a source with access to McVey's Facebook profile provided copies of screen shots.

McVey was arrested Sunday at the airport after Obama departed. He was charged with a misdemeanor and released on bond.

Asheville Regional Airport Police Chief Jeff Augram says he knows about the postings. He says authorities are doing an exhaustive background check on McVey.

McVey's attorney, James Mills, declined to comment.
