Student art show starts Friday at mall

NILES – The Art Outreach Gallery will open a pre-school through 12th grade student art exhibition Friday at the gallery in the Eastwood Mall.

The show features artwork created by students from Lakeview School District, Newton Falls High School, Howland Middle School, JFK Junior and Senior High schools and Howland Community Church Preschool.

The show will run through May 16.

The schedule of events during the show includes:

1 to 3 p.m. Sunday – Newton Falls High School opening reception and awards ceremony featuring music by high school student musicians Ashley Dillon, Robert Bacon, Jared Holt and Cody Zeleny.

1 to 3 p.m. May 16 – Lakeview School District closing reception featuring music by “The Deciding Factor,” high school student musicians.

All receptions and performances are free and open to the public.

The gallery is located across from Kitchen Collection, along the concourse between Macy’s and Sear’s.
