Boardman 8, Mass. Perry 4

MASSILLON

Sam Porter homered and drove in three runs to lead Boardman (6-8, 1-4 Federal), which took a 5-0 lead. Carmen Tarantino also homered for the Spartans and Joe Markovich doubled. For Perry (10-1, 5-1), Ethan Reese tripled and Jake Mowery doubled.

Hoover 3, Fitch 0

AUSTINTOWN

Junior Rocco Chirumbolo had 16 strikeouts and walked four during a two-hitter for Hoover (7-6, 3-2 Federal). Seniors Tony Koch and Ralph Testa each singled for the Falcons (4-8, 0-4).

Mooney 10, Aurora 1

AURORA

Ed Reese went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Dante Lewis went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Mooney (10-3). Aurora is 6-9.

Springfield 13, Ursuline 3

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Sophomore Joey Ohlin (2-1) had eight strikeouts in a six-hitter. Sophomore Nick Russell a triple and single for three RBIs, junior Erin Yoder had two hits and an RBI and junior Jason Horn had four RBIs for Springfield (11-4). Paul Kempe had a triple and double while Greg DeMario had two hits, including a run-scoring double for Ursuline (7-10).

Poland 12, East Palestine 5

POLAND

Jim Dobran went 3 for 4 with two doubles and driving in two RBIs while scoring three times to lead Poland (12-2). John Price had three hits, two doubles, and drove in three runners, while Alex Magni went 2 for 3 with a double and drove in two. Price (1-0) got the wins. East Palestine is 8-5.

Howland 9, Ravenna 8

RAVENNA

Adam Shrodek tripled while Kenny Pozega, Matt Preston and Corey Hickman doubled for the Tigers (8-5). Brendan O’Brien contributed two singles.

Hubbard 8, Struthers 1

STRUTHERS

Matt Shelton (3-0) tossed a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk to lead Hubbard (13-2, 4-0 AAC White), which scored all of its runs in the last two innings. Tim Schiraldi had two hits and two RBIs and Bo Slemons tripled and drove in two. Kory George doubled for Struthers (8-5, 3-1).

Salem 5, Lakeview 3

SALEM

Anthony Franco drove in two RBIs and had a double and a triple for Salem (5-10, 2-2). Lakeview is 3-9, 0-4. Salem’s Randy Wyand scored twice and had two hits including a double. Dan Gagnon (1-1) got the win.

Girard 14, Mineral Ridge 7

GIRARD

AJ Weibel had two hits including a double and four RBIs to lead the Indians (12-4, 4-1) past Mineral Ridge (7-6). Dante DelBene added two hits and drove in two, while Aaron Jennings, Mike Floravit, and Kyle Richey each added a pair of hits. Kyle Richey (3-2) got the mound win.

Crestview 8, Columbiana 7

COLUMBIANA

Logan Schaefer had two hits, including a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh to win the game for Crestview (6-9). Brian Orr added three hits, including a double and a triple, and scored three runs. For Columbiana, Kyle Shaffer went 2-for-4 with a triple.

South Range 14, McDonald 4

McDONALD

Jack McDonald had three hits and two RBIs, Phil Arsuffi had three hits and Mike Rohan had two hits and four RBIs for the Raiders (12-3), who took a 7-0 lead. Mike Gatta had two hits for McDonald (9-3), while Anthony Raschilla and David John both homered.

Lowellville 10, W. Reserve 0

STRUTHERS

Randy Pavlicko had three hits, two runs and two RBIs for the Rockets (8-8, 7-3 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two). Louie Lebron and Bryan Rossodivita tripled. Lebron, Ryan Whinnery and Anthony Alfano each had two hits. For the Blue Devils (12-5, 8-2), John Rosati had the only hit off Tony Schialdone (2-1).

West Branch 10, Northwest 3

CANAL FULTON

Kolin Stanley’s pitching and key hits from the entire lineup boosted the Warriors (11-5, 5-3 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Zach Wyss had three hits and an RBI, while Mike Smith and Brendan Wells had two hits apiece. Bo Beegle knocked in two runs, as did Wells. For Northwest (5-9, 2-6), Cody Crawford had three hits and an RBI.

Badger 9, Windham 6

KINSMAN

Myke Zolovick pitched three innings of no-hit relief to get the win for Badger (3-11), which fell behind 5-0 after three innings. Allen Willey and Mitch Givens each had two hits and Kyle Myers had two RBIs. For Windham (0-12), Jim Franckowiak had two hits.

LATE WEDNESDAY

Poland 9, Beaver Local 3

LISBON

Jim Dobran went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, while John Price and Nick Andrews also added two hits apiece for Poland. Phil Lipari tripled for the Bulldogs. For Beaver Local, Kyle Knepper has two hits.

Western Reserve 4, Lowellville 3

STRUTHERS

Nick Timko (5-0) pitched a three-hitter, striking out 11 and walking four without giving up an earned run to get the win. Louie Lebron had an RBI single and two stolen bases for Lowellville.
