George T. Swogger, 25, of Hubbard, a former Brookfield Middle School assistant track coach, has pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

He will be sentenced in four to six weeks, after the Trumbull County Adult Probation Department conducts a pre-sentence investigation.

Swogger, who entered his plea Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, could get up to 18 months in prison on the fourth-degree felony.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped a second charge of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fifth-degree felony.

Police said Swogger committed the crimes in his apartment in July 2009 with a 14-year-old girl.

Swogger worked for Brookfield schools during the 2008-09 school year on a supplemental contract as a middle school assistant track coach.

He served in that capacity only and worked with middle-school boys and girls during track season, school officials said.

The Brookfield school board did not renew his contract for the 2009-10 school year.
